The short version
Some cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. A few analytics cookies tell us, in aggregate, which pages are read. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and blocking cookies never stops you from getting a quote or placing an order.
1 What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between pages — for example that you have already dismissed a message — and help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
2 Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the website secure and working: page delivery, protection against spam on our forms, and your session when you use our upload tools. They do not identify you and cannot be switched off from our side, because the site does not work properly without them.
3 Analytics cookies
We use analytics cookies to see, in aggregate, which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where people leave. The information is statistical — we do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with the documents you send us.
- What they record — pages viewed, time on page, device type, approximate region and the referring website.
- How long they last — usually between one day and two years, depending on the cookie.
- Who processes the data — our analytics provider, on our behalf and under a data processing agreement.
4 Cookies we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or cross-site tracking. We do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
5 Third-party services
Some features load content from other providers — for example web fonts, an embedded map, or a WhatsApp link that opens their service. Those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we encourage you to read.
6 Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site, request a quote or place an order. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop some features, such as file uploads, from working.

7 Your personal data
Where cookie data counts as personal data, we handle it in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and our privacy policy, which also explains how to ask for access, correction or withdrawal of consent.
8 Changes to this policy
If we add or change a cookie, we update this page and the date shown at the top. Where a change is significant we will say so on the website before it takes effect.
